Introduction To Methods To Avoid Hydraulic Cylinder Oil Contamination

Ensure cleanliness: Clean pipes, castings, and other components before installation, and perform a thorough cleaning of the hydraulic cylinder system after final assembly.
Use appropriate cleaning materials: Avoid using fiber-bearing fabrics like cotton yarn when assembling components, as they can introduce lint and fibers that may contaminate the oil.
Seal the fuel tank: Properly seal the fuel tank and install an air filter in the atmosphere to prevent airborne contaminants from entering the system.
Use oil-resistant seals: Ensure that all seals and hoses used in the hydraulic cylinder system are oil-resistant to prevent degradation and leakage.
Install suitable filters: Select the appropriate type and installation location for filters in the system. Install coarse and fine oil filters as needed. Regularly check the condition of the oil filter and replace it if damaged.
Regular oil replacement: Schedule regular oil changes to maintain optimal performance. Generally, oil should be changed after accumulating more than 10,000 operating hours. Continuous use of oil can result in loss of lubricating properties and acidic degradation, leading to corrosion within the hydraulic cylinder system. Consider changing the oil every six months to one year based on the specific operating conditions.
